Romans 9 is about stumbling against Christ and being saved by His grace.
First, let's talk about what "stumbling against Christ" means. It means that you know the right way to go, but you're going in the wrong direction. You've been taught the truth in Christ—and maybe even experienced it in your own life—but somehow, you've gotten off track and are doing things that don't align with what God wants for you.
So what do we do when this happens? How can we get back on track? Paul says that salvation comes when we choose to believe Jesus died on our behalf and rose again so that we can be forgiven and reconciled with God. It's not something we deserve or work for; it's a gift from God, freely given through faith in Christ alone.
Despite our struggles and setbacks, there's always hope. Jesus made sure of this. We hope that you'll find encouragement in Romans 9.

Romans 2 MSG

Welcome to this episode of Romans 2!
In this chapter, Paul talks about what happens when we choose to live as God intends. He says you'll be rewarded with glory, honor, and peace if you do good things. God is not a man that he would lie! (Num.23:19)
But Paul also talks about what happens when you choose to live an immoral life—and it's pretty scary stuff. He says that those who don't follow God can expect to be judged by God (Rom. 2:5).
Being and doing good is pretty straightforward. It takes a little effort and intentionality, but it rewards the giver and the giftee.
First, you must believe that a higher power is watching over you—something more powerful than yourself—and you need to think constantly about the good reasons why he loves and wants to help you. Then, you must decide what actions are best to take to please him. Finally, you need to do those things! It's as simple as that! Imagine the whole world taking this approach!
To the believers who read this post, I would like to challenge you to take these words seriously. Then thank God for his unfailing love for you. Thank him for all the ways he has loved you in the past. Thank him for all he's doing in your life today.

This episode includes Romans 1
Romans shows a story of understanding and faith. It's a fantastic book, full of incredible stories of people who have chosen to follow God and live their lives in his image. There are no perfect people in the Bible—just stories of humans trying to do their best with what they had at the time. We all have our struggles and doubts, but we also can choose love over hate, forgiveness over anger, and truth over lies.
 
Paul continues about what it means to have faith in God. He talks about how the Jewish people believed that their only way out of slavery was to wait for a Messiah who would free them from Roman rule.
 
But Paul argues that this is not true for the Gentiles. He says that Jesus is the Messiah, and believers can be set free from sin through him by having faith in him.
 
Paul says this because he wants us to understand that our relationship with God is personal. We don't need anyone else's help or permission to get closer to God—to get our mind in the right place - to step into victory and success - to claim health or whatever else we desire - we have to reach out and go for it!
 
Paul helps us see our struggles and gives us hope for overcoming them by showing us a way to God through Christ Jesus.

Today's lesson is essential for us all to hear because it describes the tools we should use against the devil's attacks and how to stand against evil forces.
As a precious child of God, you will notice spiritual entities everywhere, so be ready to defend your soul! Finding out who you are in Christ is crucial to triumph in spiritual warfare.
Here's the key: pray and ask God for protection. 
We have power in Christ Jesus over all the forces of darkness for them not to prevail. When we call upon the name of Jesus, He hears us and cares for our well-being; He'll come and set us free from whatever is bothering us or causing us problems according to His will.
You must practice staying in prayer for yourself and your loved ones, asking for God's protection and wisdom wherever you may be at any given time.
Living in fear is a passive option. To live a life of peace, truth, righteousness, and faith, you must know the Word of God. 
The Word of God is our living power. 
We need to know His Word to walk in the Spirit, not the flesh.
If you have lost your passion for the Word, pick it up and read it daily.
If you've been neglecting Bible study, start rereading and studying the life of Jesus again!
There are many different ways to study the Scriptures-Jesus wants you back:1) Read as a devotional.2) Read one book at a time; perhaps use one of the many study resources I currently have available on Amazon!3) Purchase a concordance to do word studies on any passage; this activates full engagement of the scriptures and what they are honestly saying about you and your life.

Ephesians 5 KJV

Welcome to the podcast!
In the beautiful book of Ephesians, chapter 5, Paul lays out some pretty big ground rules for living in a time of miracles and divine wonders. 
He emphasizes that we should be living with a sense of responsibility toward one another—that we must take care of each other and love each other as much as we can.
Paul also describes how we are to live in a community with God himself. He says that there is no need for us to be afraid or ashamed if we are doing what is right because God himself will be our guide.
Paul lays out some heavy ground rules for how we should behave living in a time when God is working in our lives. Sure we want all the miracles and divine wonders, but we should strive for holiness in our lives- a life set apart from sin-holding tight to kindness, patience, peace, goodness, and faithfulness.
He talks about walking in love, not being arrogant or prideful, and being thankful. We can't forget to be grateful because it keeps us humble and God "giveth more grace unto the humble" (James 4:6).
And then there's the phrase: "Walk by faith." That's a significant one! It means we have faith in God and believe He can do anything.
Today's Prayer: May we continue to seek to understand what the Lord wants. May we be filled with the Spirit to discern His will for our lives. May we have the faith to act on those things revealed to us by the Lord, and may we have the courage to obey Him. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

What's your favorite road trip?
You know the one when you're driving with your best friend, and you're laughing so hard that you can't catch your breath. Possibly it's the trip when you are in the car with your family, singing along to your favorite songs. 
 
When we travel with God, we can and do have a fantastic time! We get to see what He is doing and how He works in our lives and the world around us. And believers can't help but get excited about where God is taking us next!
 
When we're in the middle of our journey, it's hard to see what lies ahead. 
 
But if we take the time to look back on the road behind us, we'll discover that God has been leading us very well all along. 
 
Ephesians 4:1-6 is a beautiful passage of scripture that reminds us that we are God's children and that He is our Father in heaven. When we think of God as our Father, we want to do everything we can to please Him and let Him lead and take the reins.
 
The Apostle Paul says in verse 1: "Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called." KJV
 
I love this part because it tells us precisely what we need to do with our lives if we want to please God. 
 
We can't just sit around - wish and wait for Him to give us something to do. We need to be actively involved in following after Him, doing what pleases Him rather than doing those things that please ourselves or others around us.

God's plan is for everyone so that we can be saved (1 Timothy 2:4).
How does God want to change your life?
How do you want your life to be on a spiritual level? It can feel like something is missing or that we'll never get to where we want to go. You may have even felt like the only way out of those feeling is to give up and quit, but don't! Do NOT QUIT! Give God a chance! God has a better plan —and it starts with knowing Him.
From birth, we are spiritually dead (Ephesians 2:1). We have sinned against God and lost our relationship with Him (Romans 3:23). When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He forgives us. God restores our relationship with Him by giving power to those who believe in Jesus Christ (John 1:12).

In Ephesians 3, Paul teaches us that God has a plan for our lives and wants to ensure we get it by following His plan and obeying Him.
The Law of The Lord is not just a list of rules to keep us from doing what we want. Instead, they are guidelines to get us through life in the way God chooses, in Divine ways we never expect!
That's what the Bible teaches us, and we believe it to be true. But it's not just a truth we can feel, touch, taste, and see—it's a truth that we can live out.
When you come to God, He will welcome you with open arms and change your life forever. You'll be able to see things in a new light, and you'll start to realize that God has no limit on His provisions!
The best part? He made the perfect way for us to be forgiven and restored even if we can't justify why or how! Just ask the Lord into your heart today by praying:
"God, I know I have sinned against you; please forgive me. I know that I need you in my life. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, rose again on the third day, and is seated at your right hand. I know that by trusting, committing, and believing in Jesus, I can come to you so that I could have eternal life with you in Heaven." Amen

We can boldly approach God with the confidence that we have His approval and acceptance because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Rather than focusing on the things of the earth, we can focus on God and how he has revealed to us in Jesus Christ the way to everlasting life.
The Bible tells us that we have been given an inheritance because of Jesus' death and resurrection. And it's not some far-off fairy tale kind of inheritance––it's real estate. It's here on earth, in the city of God, in the New Jerusalem, where God lives with His people!
From this moment until our last breath, nobody and nothing will ever be able to shut this inheritance out of your reach. And it's not just for the intelligent or the excellent, but for all humble enough to receive it. If you belong to Christ by faith, you are a citizen of Heaven.
 
There is no delay or wait time; you don't have to go through a lengthy process; as soon as you are born again by believing in Christ, and your need for Him in your life, and what He has done for you -you become an heir! Our citizenship is in Heaven! And we're awaiting our Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

Welcome, 
 
In Ephesians 1 KJV, Paul helps us to understand the importance of living with a new mindset. He explains that the Gospel isn't something we can grasp on our own, but it's what delivers us from our sin quickly. He also teaches that salvation is not just a one-time event. It's something we must learn every day of our lives through the knowledge of God and His power.
 
The Bible tells us we live for Christ every day. But, do you honestly believe it is this practical? Can we do this in all aspects of our lives? I say yes and want to share two reasons why God's power is present, active, and influential daily.
 
The living God is continually and actively engaged in the world. 
The fact that He has:
Provided Scripture
Given us Means of Grace
 
The world is not waiting for a new revelation or intervention from God; instead, it is impacted by the ever-present God around us daily.
 
Whether you're going through a hard time, can't stop procrastinating, are finding it difficult to trust God again, or know something's missing in your life and you think that maybe there's more to life but aren't quite sure yet — I pray that you find it today! Read the Bible for your answers.
 
It's important to live for Christ every day, not just when you feel like it. We all should recognize our strengths and weaknesses and strive to improve daily; it is simple.
 
It's not too late for you, brothers and sisters! Regardless of how far you've drifted, now is the time to return to Him, time to change. God loves you, no matter what. Listen, God did the impossible for me and can do the same for you. It may not happen overnight, but it can happen today.

Ruth 4 KJV

Welcome,
The short and lovely book of Ruth is a story about justice, tragedy, love, loyalty and loss, and the redemption of widows and kings. It's about how God works for the good of His people and doesn't let even death keep Him from fulfilling his promises. 
Ruth was an unlikely hero. From a family who worshipped false idols, Ruth became part of a time-honored biblical tale that still influences people today. Yet many have never heard of her story. When she first arrived in Bethlehem, things looked bleak. Ruth's husband died, leaving her destitute, on the outskirts of town and with the stigma of being a foreigner who was now an "extended family" with Naomi and Elimelech. As we read together in this podcast, Ruth's circumstances were looking unfortunate, yet God was able to turn rejections into blessings and new beginnings!
This biblical story illustrates how Ruth and Naomi were both rejected. Naomi was abandoned by her people when her husband died. Ruth was a strong woman of faith. Throughout her hardships, she held onto the promises of God and refused to give up even though rejection was her lot with the order by her mother-in-law (Naomi) to return home.
God can be depended upon to uphold all His promises and fulfill His purpose in our lives. Everyone faces trials in life. Trials can be as much a part of life as breathing or eating. However, it's critical to your faith that you know that God is faithful and He will never leave you or forsake you.
Throughout the Bible, and even before, God has demonstrated steadfast faithfulness and His unchangeable nature. Long before we could understand, God promised to love us. Through our many trials in life, God has remained true to His word. This podcast ends with the final chapter of the book of Ruth; we have looked at several of God's promises from the Bible and how He fulfills every one of them without fail in Ruth's life.

Ruth 2 KJV

I love today's episode of Ruth 2 KJV. It reminded me of the power of our voice.
Ruth was a foreigner and used her voice to advocate for herself and be bold about her goal of marrying Boaz. She didn't stay silent or let others tell her what to do. I'm so inspired by how she spoke up and boldly asked Boaz to marry her—even though it wasn't an easy quest for her to do.
I think many people are afraid to advocate for themselves or others, but we can use our voices in positive ways that create change. We can speak up when we see something wrong happening, even if it makes us uncomfortable or difficult because sometimes it's necessary to say something quickly before things get worse!
God cares about how you use your voice, so find ways to speak truthfully and powerfully into your life and those around you!
I'm inspired by how Naomi and Ruth used their voice positively when it wasn't easy for women to speak up for themselves or others.
